Volunteer Peggy Koch, left, and Tucson Wildlife Center staff member Lou Rae Whitehead prepare meals for the various animals at the facility. They have a 24-hour emergency room, a veterinarian on call, a rehabilitation program and the means to return the animals to where they were found. It is a non-profit organization founded in 1998 by Lisa Bates and Peter Lininger.
