John Murphy was arrested Jan. 27, after Gilbert police say the 20-year-old Scottsdale man had sex with a girl he knew was underage. Murphy is accused of having sex with a 17-year-old Gilbert girl who told police that on several occasions after meeting Murphy he would request to have sex, the Associated Press reported. She says Murphy often bought dinner and gifts and expected sex from her. Police said they found sexually explicit pictures of the victim that Murphy requested and also photos of Murphy on the victim's computer. Murphy was booked into the Maricopa County jail on suspicion of sexual conduct with a minor, sexual exploitation of a minor and luring a minor for sexual exploitation.
