Anthony Sanchez, 33, was arrested March 28 in San Manuel after he fled from deputies and crashed into an ambulance, authorities said.
Sanchez is facing suspicion of unlawful flight, DUI, extreme DUI, driving on a revoked license, hit and run and criminal speeding, according to a Pinal County Sheriff's Office news release.
During the police chase, Sanchez crashed a 2008 Buick sedan into a Rural/Metro ambulance and fled the scene. The ambulance was sideswiped when the driver tried to pass the ambulance, reaching up 100 mph during the chase.
No one in the ambulance was injured.
Deputies continued following the sedan through San Manuel until Sanchez and a passenger abandoned the vehicle. After a short foot chase, Sanchez was taken into custody. The passenger remains at large.
Investigators found alcohol in the car, said authorities. Sanchez told investigators that he was drinking and driving, and "had just gotten out of jail for a previous DUI offense."
