Duane Akina is the second Arizona assistant to leave for Texas, along with defensive coordinator Johnny Nansen.
Duane Akina, a longtime assistant coach at Arizona, was officially announced as defensive coordinator. Akina is the sixth defensive coordinator at Arizona since 2019; he's worked with five different head coaches at the UA.
