GARITY, Mark Christopher
It is with great sadness that the family of Mark Christopher Garity of Tucson, AZ (born December 18, 1988 in Walnut Creek, CA) announce his tragic death at the very young age of 29. Mark was a kind and giving young man with a zest for the outdoors such as camping, hiking, rock climbing, para gliding and snowboarding. He also was quite a talented chef in the kitchen often surprising his family with amazing deserts and dinners - Chicken Cordon Bleu a favorite! By trade he was a software engineer described as having a brilliant and creative mind. Most recently, this generous soul learned about the gratification of volunteering through a recent STEM event at the Tucson Zoo. We know that he is at peace now and in the arms of his grandparents, Col. Retired Edward Benedit and Diane Benedit. Mark is survived by his mother, Donna M. Cotlow and stepfather, Dean P. Cotlow; his father, Bob Garity; his stepbrother, Chase C. Cotlow; multiple aunts, uncles, cousins and his devoted dog, Foster. Mark will be forever remembered by his loving family. A Celebration of his life will be held at the Mountain Oyster Club located at 6400 East El Dorado Circle, Tucson, Arizona 85715 on Saturday, March 17, 2018 from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Please join us for this Celebration of Mark C. Garity's Life. Arrangements by ADAIR FUNERAL HOME, DODGE CHAPEL.
