David (Mike) DeSpain
With great sadness Mike's family announce the passing of their beloved Cowboy on September 1, 2014. Born June 7, 1942 in Phoenix, AZ, he lived in Tucson since coming here at age five. He was a graduate of Tucson High and had the heart of a true Badger. He worked for Pima County, Urban Engineering and ended his work career at Marana Unified School District. He leaves behind his wife Harriet; sons, Logan Trujillo of San Marcos, TX, Michael DeSpain (Matt) of Washington, DC and the light of his life his granddaughter, Olivia and her mother, Zulma Biddle of LA. Also surviving him is his sister, Peggy Moran (Peter) of CA; nephew, Forrest L. Metz, Jr. (Annie) of England and niece, Jenifer Metz (Andrew) of CA, plus many dear cousins and friends. He loved his many animals that brought him much love and joy through the years. He is now riding his horse Red enjoying the beautiful sunsets or lying on Mission Beach watching the waves roll in. Until we meet again my Cowboy. Remembrances can be made to hoofsnhorns@yahoo.com or an animal charity of your choice. Arrangements by DESERT SUNSET FUNERAL HOME.
