MCCONNELL, William C. "Bill"
Entrepreneur Born May 2, 1947; Died February 16, 2018. Bill grew up in Tucson, graduated from Salpointe High School in 1965 and received a Master's degree in business from the University of Arizona. He was a lifelong UofA fan. Bill was a veteran, serving in the Army during the Viet Nam era, as well as a natural born salesman and business owner. His pride and joy was a successful trucking company in southern California. Bill was preceded in death by his mother, Estella McConnell; father, Jack McConnell; sister, Carolyn Barker and son, Michael. He is survived by Sue, his wife of 33 years; brother, Fred; son, William Charles Jr. "Chuck"; daughter, Andrea; in-laws, Donna, Tony and Neno; grandchildren, Alysa, Katie, Hannah and Aiden; great-grandson, Mason as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Bill will be remembered for his kind heart and generous nature. He always had a smile, a joke and a helping hand. He will be missed by his many friends in Tucson and Southern California. When thinking of him, do it with a smile, a shot of good tequila and a toast.
