TELLEZ, Josephine F.
"Josie" passed away July 27, 2016. She is now with her Lord and love of her life Jesus "Chuy". Josie was married to Chuy for 53 years. They lived and raised their family in Clifton, Arizona. Josie was a stay at home mother who lovingly cared for her family, was a wonderful cook and was active in Sacred Heart Parish (Clifton, AZ) activities as a Guadalupana with a great devotion to Our Lady, a Eucharistic minister, and sang in the Spanish Choir. After Chuy died, Josie spent the last 12 years of her life living in Tucson with her daughter, Belle and son-in-law, Danny. She was diagnosed with Lewy Body Dementia in November of 2015 and after a rapid decline, died at home under the care of TMC Hospice. She is survived by her children, Joan Tellez of Tucson, Eddie (Kathy) Tellez of Mesa, and Belle (Danny Peru) Tellez-Peru of Tucson. She also leaves behind her granddaughter, Lisa (Pat) Lopez and Jesse (Stacie) Tellez and her great-grandchildren, Leticia, Christopher and Jessy. Josie was predeceased by all of her siblings and her great-grandchild, Angel. Visitation will be held Saturday, August 6, 2016 from 8:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. at CARRILLO'S TUCSON MORTUARY (NORTH CHAPEL) 240 S. Stone Ave. Rosary to be recited at 9:30 a.m. Mass of the Resurrection will follow at 11:00 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 601 East Ft. Lowell Road officiated by Father Jim Hobert. Interment at Holy Hope Cemetery. A reception will follow at Sabbar Shrine Center, 450 S. Tucson Blvd. to celebrate Josie's life. The family wishes to thank Josie's healthcare providers Dr. Frederick Van Hook, TMC Hospice nurse Ashley, Dr. Stephen Curtin, Dr. Kathryn Bates, Dr. Geoffrey Ahern, Dr. Tracy Jeck and the Bayada Home Care team of Tammy, Stephanie, Liz, Betsy and George.
