Richard C. Rowe
12/24/1936 - 7/1/2012
Richard was born the only child and son of Florence Anderson and stepson of John Palmer in Queens, NY. Richard died peacefully at home surrounded by family and friends. Richard is preceded in death by his wife, Harriet Rowe and his mother and father. He is survived by his daughters, Tracey Rowe, Jamie Gray, Michelle Minkus (Bruce); grandchildren, Russell and Alexandra Rodriguez, Sami Minkus, Kanódez and Avahn, all of whom he was very proud. He is also survived by several cousins and uncles and aunts. Richard loved his family and friends very much. He was a wonderful, kind man who would help anyone he could. He was known for his strong work ethic and was a straight "A" student who played semi-pro baseball. He was pursued to play professional ball by everyone from the Braves, Dodgers and Phillys who he did play semi-pro with. But dad felt it was more important to get his college degree in electronics and communications as well as serve his country by joining the Navy. He moved to Tucson in 1969 to work in communications at Fort Huachuca in Sierra Vista. As in everything in his life he moved up quickly. More importantly, he taught us how to treat people with love, respect and kindness. He was easy to talk to and would always keep his word. Dad also kept peoples confidences. He always put his loved ones first along with their needs and never expected anything in return. Dad was my best friend and always will be. We will all remember him for the loving, giving, amazing man he was, and we will miss him and think of him daily. He died on the first which is ironic since he will always be number one in our hearts. We will love and miss you forever dad or until we are all together again. Love, Tracey, Alexandra, Russell, Sami, Michelle, Bruce, Jamie, Kanódez, Avahn, John, Pierre and many other family and friends. RIP dad, we will keep you in our hearts always.
