Robert H. Wortman
passed away on July 25, 2015 in Tucson, AZ. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ann and Frank Wortman, his sister, Norma Jean Brodie, his brother-in-law, George Brodie, and his sister-in-law, Rosemary Wortman. Bob was born and raised in Dexter, NM. He graduated from the University of New Mexico with a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering, attended Yale University in the Traffic and Transportation Planning Year Course and he obtained his PhD from the University of Illinois. Bob was a professor of Civil Engineering at the University of Illinois, the University of Connecticut and the University of Arizona. He was a member of American Society of Civil Engineers and, from 1993 to 1995, Bob served on the Board of Directions. He was much beloved by his family and he enjoyed spending time with his family, traveling and sailing. Bob is survived by his wife, Jean; sons, Robert and Rusty; daughter, Sallie; son-in-law, Arthur; and brothe, John Wortman. Private family services were held.
