GRIJALVA, Richard Perez
was born on May 11, 1954 in Tucson, Arizona and returned to our Creator on January 31, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. His life partner, Mark Denman, was at his side at the time of death. Richard succumbed to a severe lung illness and was an inpatient at St. Joseph's Hospital in Phoenix, Arizona awaiting a lung transplant. Richard graduated class of 1972 from Salpointe Catholic High School in Tucson, Arizona. He went on to study Animal Husbandry at University of Arizona. Richard worked as a Craftsman and created many custom home environments, both in Tucson and Phoenix, AZ. He is survived by his life partner, Mark Denman and beloved pets, Cornelia, Princess, Sylvester, Cecil, Rosy, Petey, Patrick, Senator and Mrs. Bird as well as his siblings, Ralph Grijalva, Veronica Grijalva-Palmisano, Cynthia Grijalva-Reffruschinni, Donna Grijalva-Villasenor, Sandra Grijalva-Zorilla, Maritza Grijalva-McGimm, Rene Grijalva and Irmalinda Grijalva-Bristol. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, February 18, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. at WHITNEY & MURPHY FUNERAL HOME, 4800 E. Indian School Road, Phoenix, AZ 85018 to celebrate Richard's life.
