NANEZ, Mary Helen Arenas
75 years old, passed away June 26, 2016 after ten years with early onset Alzheimer's disease. Helen graduated from Tucson High in 1958 and married her loving husband, Benny for 55 beautiful years. Preceded in death by her parents, Rudolph and Estella Arenas; sister, Ruth Maldonado. She leaves behind her husband, Benny; children, Benny Jr. (Kelly), Gregory (Maria) and Yvette (Julian); sisters, Evelyn and Anna Marie (Art); brother, Rudy Jr. (Carole). Helen also leaves behind seven grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Helen worked for Pima County and retired from the City of Tucson in 2002. Helen/Honey/Mom/Nana was a wonderful loving person who always put others before herself and loved unconditionally. We will miss you so much and you will always be in our hearts, until we meet again. Visitation will be held Friday, July 1, 2016 from 8:00 a.m. - 10:00 a.m. at CARRILLO'S TUCSON MORTUARY (South Chapel) 240 S. Stone Ave., with a Rosary recited at 9:00 a.m. Mass will follow, 10:30 a.m. at St. Augustine's Cathedral, 192 S. Stone Ave. Interment at Holy Hope Cemetery.
