Barbara Ann Waters

A beloved writer, teacher, psychologist, mother, and patron of the arts took her last breath at 11:15 a.m. January 11, 2015. Barbara was the wife of the late Frank Waters. Her beloved Frank was known as "The Grandfather of Southwestern Literature" and was nominated five times for a Nobel Prize. She was also predeceased by her brother, Bruce Hyne, and her son, Terence Hayes. She is survived by her son, William Hayes and wife Judy; daughter-in-law, Cheryl Hayes; grandchildren, Jason and Kelly Hayes; two great-grandsons, siblings, Joan Gore, Sandra Sayles, and Ronald Hyne. A tribute/memorial service will take place this summer, at the Frank and Barbara Waters Foundation, where their life works and spirits thrived. Arrangements by RIVERA FUNERAL HOME.
