David was born and raised in Indiana. He was a proud Marine who served his country. He was a Marion County Sheriff and worked 20 years for Conrail Railroad. He moved to Tucson in 1982 and retired from the Arizona Dept. of Corrections. Married 50 years to Pauline "The Love of my Life". Beloved father of Shelly (Jeff) Hampton, David (Diane) Bland and Crystal (Mike) Engstrom. #1 Grandfather to Preston, Alexander, Sedona, Trevin and Delainey. Survived by daughters from a prior marriage, Teresa (Jim) Hull and DeAnn Garrison and family. Survived by sisters, Linda (John) Saunders, Paula (Bill) Grimsley and Lisa Steele. Celebration of Life at Green Valley Mortuary, September 30, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to TMC Hospice.
