Maria Perez Spatafore
Beloved wife of Frank Spatafore for 58 years, was called home on January 28, 2012, after a long illness. Maria was born October 23, 1919 in Douglas, Arizona. She attended local schools and graduated from Tucson High School. Maria was a bank auditor for Southern Arizona Bank, First Interstate Bank and Wells Fargo Bank for 30 years until her retirement in 1982. Preceded in death by parents, Aurelio and Martina Perez; sisters, Soledad Tarazon, Aurelia Gallego, Angelita Peyron, Lupe Perez and brother, Miguel C. Perez. Survived by her husband, Frank Spatatore; sisters, Aurora and Micaela Perez, Juanita Peyron; sisters-in-law, Carmen Perez, Marie Belardi, Angeline Chenoweth and Gloria Block; nephew, Steve Gallego and many other nieces and nephews. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her and loved her. The family requests that in lieu of flowers a contribution to a favorite charity be made in Maria's name. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, February 8, 2012, 8:30 a.m. - 10:00 a.m. at St. Augustine's Cathedral, 192 S. Stone Ave., with Rosary recited at 9:00 a.m. and Mass at 10:30 a.m. Interment to follow at Holy Hope Cemetery. Arrangements by CARRILLO'S TUCSON MORTUARY, INC.
