David "Dave" Milo Howell

born in Kennett, Missouri, May 24, 1946 was called to heaven July 14, 2014. Dave will be deeply missed by many people. He is survived by his wife, Kelly; two children, Starr and David; two grandchildren and his beloved dogs. Dave had a strong sense of community and spent many years behind the scenes in politics, working for social justice. He attended and worked for local churches, sharing his faith and love of God. During the 60's he sang in the band, "The Persuaders", at The King of Clubs. He raced stock cars, and later, was a frequent spectator at Tucson Raceway Park. In his 50 year career at Tucson Medical Center, Dave touched many lives. His co-workers and patients would say that Dave became their lifelong friend. His sense of humor was enormous; his laugh boisterous and contagious, and his corny jokes could turn any frown upside down. Arrangements by DESERT ROSE HEATHER MORTUARY.
