Richard A. "Dick" McCormick
Just short of his 80th birthday, Dick passed suddenly on May 29, 2015. He was born to William A. McCormick and Lillian Mae Gratz in Orange Cove, CA on June 26, 1935. He graduated from Reedley High School in the San Joaquin Valley and attended Woodbury College in Los Angeles. Before he graduated from college he was hired by the Norcross greeting card company and continued on for 26 years. He worked in sales and management afterward and loved what he did until he retired. Dick is predeceased by is wife of 46 years, Marsha Brown. He is survived by his wife Barbara Beeton McCormick, too short a time but a sweet gift to both in Life's winter years. Dick is also survived by his daughter, Laura Ann McCormick; cousin, Cherie Rother-Ham, (Cliff); and nieces, Jane Moore and Christine Glaspie Kessler as well as Ann Brown, his much loved cousin by marriage. Dick was a kind, gentle man and he loved his home, his family, his computer, and working outdoors in the garden for hours. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Smile Foundation. Arrangements were made by HUDGEL'S SWAN FUNERAL HOME. A Celebration of life will be held at the Viscount Hotel on Saturday, June 20, 2015 at 11:30 a.m. followed by reception.
