John C. Kimes
60, passed away September 9, 2011. Preceded in death by grandparents, Claud and Opal and father, Carl. Survived by wife, Lucas; daughter, Kathryn (Manny); his pride and joy were his cherished grandchildren, Divina, Manny and Ivan; mother, CJ (Bob) Johnson; stepmother, Ruby; in-laws, Francisco and Linda Arvizu; sister, Kayla; brothers, Roger, Steven, Kelly and Anthony. He had a special relationship with his cousins, Bob, Bill and Todd. John was a roofer by trade in addition to vice-president and part owner of Bob's Custom Roofing for the past 30 years. Highly respected, John was a private "simple man" who took pride in his projects, home and above all his family. Those close to him were fortunate enough to know his wit and sense of humor, which we will miss. Out of respect for John's wishes, no services will be held. The family would like to thank Carondelet Hospice, especially Patricia Ferguson and Gayla Strong. A golden heart stopped beating. God broke our hearts to prove to us he only takes the best. We hope the gates of heaven meet you with the smell of your grandfather's biscuits and his open arms. Until we meet again. Arrangements by DESERT ROSE CREMATION AND BURIAL.
