Janet May Rees
was born in Yonkers, NY on May 16, 1953. She died unexpectently January 24, 2013 surrounded by family and friends. She is survived by her ever loving mother Marguerite; her brother, Dwight; sister-in-law, Marjorie, and her devoted loving counterpart Wayne Kyle. She was preceded in death by her father Charles W. in 2001 and her nephew Andrew in 2009. Janet also leaves behind her much loved dog Panda. She graduated from Baldwin High School in Baldwin, NY in 1971 and the State University of NY College at Cortland in 1975. Janet eventually made her home in Tucson in 1978. Then she started a career in media and marketing with local radio stations. Additionally, she worked in real estate. She also earned a teaching degree and worked as a middle school math teacher. At the time of her death, she was a personal banker at Well Fargo. Janet was a member of the Organization of Chinese Americans of Greater Tucson. Janet was an avid photographer. Other interests she enjoyed were singing, swimming, tennis, hiking, biking, horseback riding, and rollerblading. A Memorial Service to celebrate her life will take place on Friday, February 15, 2013 at EVERGREEN MORTUARY located at 3015 N. Oracle Rd. The visitation is from 3:30 p.m. - 4:30 p.m. with the service immediately following.
