KORFF, Emily MacMillan
37, died on Friday, April 7, 2017, at her home in Tucson. Emily was born on September 30, 1979 in Tucson, AZ. She attended Tucson High School and the University of Arizona, graduating in 2002 with a degree in Microbiology and Immunology. She worked for many years as a clinical research associate overseeing medical research in oncology and virology. In recent years, her passion for travel and diving took her to Thailand, Cambodia, Malaysia, Mexico, Hungary, Austria, Morocco, Spain, Croatia, Slovenia, and Belize among others. She touched friends in her time in Philadelphia, Tucson and around the world. She was loved by many who will remember her infectious laugh, her love of great food, her sense of style, her crafty creativity and her extensive knowledge of birds. She is survived by her mother, Mary Blaine Korff; brothers, Erin (Laura Harsch) and Wyatt (Jenna); nieces, Zoe and Eliza; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. She was preceded in death by her father, Thomas W. Korff. Services will be held at San Pedro Chapel, Sunday, April 23, 2017 at 5:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention or the Loeys-Dietz Syndrome Foundation.
