MACKSTALLER, Nan
An amazing woman has left us... Nan Mackstaller June 11, 1945 to July 20, 2017. To my most amazing mother: You lived your life with intention, through your own discerned values, and with indomitable courage. You were a woman that reinvented yourself constantly: pianist, mother, real estate broker, computer programmer, real estate investor, web page designer. You were a lover of people, lover of horses, lover of cooking, lover of entertaining, courageous solo traveler and someone who could let go of the past and create a beautiful future. Years ago, when you were planning a trip to live in Ecuador we had a conference call with one of your doctors that recommended you not go. I asked you, "Mom, maybe we should listen to the doctor?". And you replied, "If I listened to the doctors' cautions through the years, I would have died a long time ago." You died exactly as you had intended, at peace and surrounded by your loving friends. Mom, thank you for your wisdom and guidance on how to live an extraordinary life. May you rest in peace Nan is survived by her son, Adam; daughter, Wells; daughter-in-law, Christine; three beautiful grandchildren and countless happy fat finches in her backyard. A Celebration of Life will be held this Sunday, August 27, 2017 at Tucson Botanical Gardens at 8:30 a.m. Arrangements by ANGEL VALLEY FUNERAL HOME.
