Robert Milton Dimitt
87, born December 22, 1927 to Oris and Ruby Dimitt in Kokomo, Ind., child of five. Passed through the gate of heaven July 20, 2015. Now with the Lord, he was greeted by his loving wife of 55 years, Dora Dimitt. He was preceded in death by his siblings J. Wesley, Richard, and Phil. He is survived by his sister, Nancy Dimitt. Bob was very grateful to what God had blessed him with, and made sure to give all that he could in life and death. In life, he served as Sgt. in the U.S. Army Inf. serving in WWII as an Information and Education Specialist. After his military service Bob worked for Sears. He started May 10, 1949 in Kokomo, Ind. then came to Tucson, AZ, retiring from Sears after 37 years. During this time he contributed to many charities and belonged to Northminister Presbyterian Church. Bob knew education was the key to a better future. Instead of having a memorial service, Bob chose to donate his body to the University of Arizona College of Medicine Dept of Cell Biology and Anatomy, believing that even in death his body could serve a purpose, maybe even help educate a group of young minds in saving lives. Bob was a good man he will be missed by his friends, nieces, nephews, and his sole remaining sibling, Nancy Dimitt. It would mean a great deal to his loved ones if you remember him in your prayers. Bob would always say "This is the day which the Lord hath made; we will rejoice and be glad in it". Psalms 118:24
