John William McClain
Age 70, died March 21, 2012, 2012. Born in Steubenville, OH, he lived in Phoenix, AZ and Chester, VA before moving to Tucson in 1981. John served in the USAF from 1961 - 1965. He worked for IBM in the field and the lab for 35 years, retiring in 2001. John enjoyed ham radio, cycling, scuba diving and reading. He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Virginia; two daughters, Kathy (Jeff) Wingstrom and Carol (John) Elliot and three grandsons, Joshua, Jacob and Maxwell. Memorial Service will be held Tuesday, March 27, 2012 at 1:30 p.m. at Immanuel Presbyterian Church, 9252 E. 22nd Street. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Immanuel Memorial Fund.
