BACKHERMS, Lorrie, on April 19, 2015, Tucson lost a great talent. But Lorrie Backherms will live on in the many commercials she voiced - including two Addy Award winners. After graduating from UA in 1979 (majoring in Theater), Lorrie also used her theatrical talent as a model and as an "Advertising Selling Phenomenon" - setting sales records for several local publications. She also set records with her 4am daily workouts - workouts that helped her stay strong in her fight against cancer. Preceded in death by former husband, Dave Backherms, and her father, Aaron Small. Lorrie is survived by her loving mother, Lillian Small, as well as uncles and cousins. Services were held Wednesday, April 22, 2015. She was loved by many and will be missed.
