CARLSON, Rene Carl
57, of Tucson, Arizona, passed away on Sunday, February 19, 2017. René was born February 1, 1960, in Fontainebleau, France, to William and Micheline Carlson. René graduated from Sahuaro High School in Tucson in 1979, and had many careers. René worked for UPS; he worked for a short while in media manufacturing for IBM; and most recently he worked for Gadabout Salon Spas. René was an inventor, and also performed many handyman side jobs for friends, family, and strangers. Being a Father and a PopPop were the greatest joys of his life. René's friends and family will remember him for his unselfishness and generosity. René was a great father, grandfather, son, brother and friend. René is survived by his daughter, Brianna and his grandson, Gage of Tucson; his parents, Bill and Micheline Carlson of Tucson; his brothers, Daniel of Tucson and Alix (Brenda) of Pinetop, Arizona. René is also survived by his best friend, Jay Joffe of Tucson. René will also be missed by his many and much loved nieces, nephews, friends and coworkers. In lieu of flowers, a donation would be appreciated to help his daughter pay for funeral expenses. A Rosary will be held on Monday, March 6, 2017, at 4:00 p.m., followed by a Funeral Mass at 4:30 p.m., at St. Pius X Catholic Church, 1800 N. Camino Pio Decimo in Tucson, Arizona.
