Ramiro Redondo Romero 4/13/1934 - 10/25/2014
In the morning of October 25, 2014, Ramiro passed away in his sleep in the comfort of his home, as a result of complications from cancer. He was surrounded by family at the time of his passing. He was 80 years old. Ramiro was born in Tucson, Arizona 1934. He was one of three brothers, Richard Romero, Ralph Romero and two sisters, Rosa Duarte and Romelia Urbano. All were the children of Esteban Romero and Felicita Redondo of Tucson, Arizona. Ramiro joined the United States Air Force in 1952 and retired in 1994. He proudly served as a member of Arizona Department of Public Safety District 8 from 1997 to 2014. Ramiro is survived by his wife of 58 years, Arlene; two sons, Steve and Raymond and daughter, Cathy who also lost her life to cancer at the age of 25 in 1982. And his only grandson, Louie Romero, whom he was so very proud of, was the light in Ramiro's life. Respected by many and known for his generosity, willingness to help others, and his love for rebuilding and restoring cars, including antique vehicles. Visitation will be held Monday, November 3, 2014 from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. at Our Lady of All Saints, 2915 E. 36th St., with a Rosary recited at 10:30 a.m. Mass will follow at 11:00 a.m. Interment at Holy Hope Cemetery.
