Charles William (Bill) Shader
passed away in his sleep on the morning of August 14, 2012 in Tucson, Arizona. He was born November 14, 1930 in Waterloo, Iowa. He is predeceased by his mother, Carolyn Jennings; father and brother, Paul. Bill is survived by his wife, Lena Shader; his three children, Michael, Carolyn Abernathy and Bill (Susan); five grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, brother, Ronald (Sumiko) and sister, Ruth (James) Pelham. Bill served in the Navy and was a proud Mason. He worked for Illinois Central Railroad and learned to silversmith from local Tucson artisan, Joe Begay. A public Visitation will be held at EAST LAWN PALMS MORTUARY at 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday, August 21, 2012 immediately followed by a Memorial and Burial Service at 2:00 p.m. at East Lawn Palms Cemetery, with Military Honors and Flag presentation by the U.S. Navy Honor Guard. Arrangements by EAST LAWN PALMS MORTUARY AND CEMETERY.
