CAJERO, Adoracion "Dora" Anaya, born in Benson, Arizona in 1925, died from complications of surgery, September 13, 2016, in Tucson, AZ. After graduating as the Willcox High School Class of 44, Valedictorian, she attended the St. Mary's School of Nursing on scholarship and became a member of the WWII Cadet Nurse Corps. Upon completion of the program, she became licensed as a Registered Nurse in Arizona; where she practiced at St. Mary's Hospital and Tucson Medical Center until her retirement in 1992. Dora had an adventurous spirit, spending time in North, South and Central America, as well as Australia and New Zealand. Her kindness, resiliency and love of learning have been lifelong inspirations to her family; we will miss her! She was devoted to her family and is survived by her daughter, Ramona Cajero and son, Richard Cajero; grandchildren, Matthew, Christopher (Mindy), Tanya (Eric), Michelle (Eric) and Ben; great-grandchildren, Rhiannon, Damian, Alexander and Jake. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Vicky Cajero and son, Joe Cajero. A special thanks for the compassionate professional care she received from the staffs of Carondelet St. Joseph's Hospital, 4th floor Pavilion Unit and Peppi's House Hospice.
