CORSE, Judith Abbe
Age 85, died peacefully, surrounded by family, at home on June 5, 2017. A lifelong and devoted member of the Episcopal Church, she was always eager to serve and very active in the congregation of St. Philip's in the Hills. Born Judith Honour Abbe, August 16, 1931 in Indianapolis, IN, to Leslie and Opal Abbe. Raised on Abbe family farm, Enfield, CT. Moved, 1941, to Rockville, MD. Graduated from Richard Montgomery High in 1949 and was Salutatorian, 1951 class of Montgomery Junior College, majoring in pre-nursing. Married 1951 to George V. "Mike" Brenneman, Jr. of Washington, DC. She gave birth to four children in six years and devoted herself to raising them and instilling life-long values as well as her love of reading. The marriage ended in divorce. Married 1972 to William Corse of Dickerson, MD and joined in raising his four children while also working as a medical secretary. In retirement and after Bill's death, Judy relocated to Tucson in 2003. Survived by beloved brothers, Jonathan Abbe (Barbara) and Timothy Abbe (Virginia); sons, Bruce Brenneman (Alice), Mark Brenneman (Maria Elena), Dean Brenneman (Márika) and daughter, Dale Brenneman (Arthur Vokes); stepchildren, Barbara Hershberger (Lynn), Karen DePaola (Robert), William Corse, Jr. (Jenny Hughes), Caroline "Jody" Oberly; many grandchildren, great- grandchildren, nephews and nieces. Predeceased by sister, Jacqueline Niederwerfer and grandson, Michael Corse. Services Monday, June 12, 2017, 1:00 p.m. St. Philips in the Hills Church, 4440 N.
