Hector M. Vega
was born January 7, 1938 in Tucson, Arizona. He left with Diosito on January 21, 2013 at Santa Rosa Home. He was an avid musician "Mariachi Player" and educator. He lived in Tucson and exemplified the love of mariachi music. Hector graduated from Tucson High School in 1957. He was drafted into the US Army in 1962 and served two years at Fort Banks, Alaska. He received a Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education from the University of Arizona in 1975. His passion was music. He is survived by his hijas, Dina, Dorina, Genevieve and Julie; ex-esposa, Gloria; 11 grandchildren, hermano, Enrique y sobrinos. Hector's charisma was abundant and touched all who crossed his path. Services will be held Friday, January 25, 2013 at Santa Cruz Catholic Church with Viewing at 9:00 a.m., Rosary recited at 10:30 a.m. and Funeral Mass at 11:00 a.m. with interment to follow at Holy Hope Cemetery.
