Jay Richard Heisey

died December 27, 2013. J. Richard was a loving husband to Violet Heisey (deceased) for 53 years and a devoted father to Richard G., Gregory (Kathy) and Barbara Franco. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Brianna, Colin (Jessie), Aidan, Josue (Rachel) and Tanya and his great-grandchildren, Owen, Sutton, Emmett, Marcella and Josue Junior. J. Richard attended the University of Arizona, graduated in 1956 and became a Certified Public Accountant. He moved to Douglas, AZ where he began his own business as J. Richard Heisey, CPA and taught accounting classes at Cochise College. In 1980 J. Richard returned to Tucson to be closer to his grandchildren and to partner with his son Gregory in their business Gregory L. Heisey CPA, PC. J. Richard was an avid reader, writer, historian and desert enthusiast. He recorded his family history through present-day and self-published a 326 page book titled The Richard & Violet Heisey Family, devoting each page to his wife and family. His book is a physical reminder of J. Richard Heisey's inspirational life and beautiful spirit that has re-united with the love of his life, Violet, in eternal happiness. Visitation will be held Friday, January 3, 2014 from 4:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m. at ADAIR FUNERAL HOMES, Avalon Chapel, 8090 N. Northern Ave., with the Rosary to be at 6:00 p.m. Memorial Mass will be held at 11:00 a.m., Monday, January 6, 2014 at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, 8650 N. Shannon Rd.
