Kathleen Kirkbride Wicht
Passed away peacefully on Friday, December 9, 2011. Katie was born on February 28, 1926, in Lincoln, NE. She was preceded in death by her parents, Walter and Della Kirkbride and her siblings, Jack Kirkbride, Virginia (Louie) Sorenson and Jean Kirkbride. Katie married Forrest "Bud" Wicht on June 20, 1944, in Miami, FL. Her love of people made her a special friend to many. Katie is survived by her loving husband and best friend, Bud and her sons, Jon (Bonnie) Wicht and Jay Wicht. She is also survived by sisters, Mildred (Monte) Montgomery and Molly (Les) Henry, by her granddaughters, Heather Wicht and Susan (Robert) Marsett and by great-granddaughters, Hailey and Holly Marsett. Katie will be greatly missed by loving nieces and nephews. A Memorial Service and celebration of Katie's life will be held at noon on Sunday, December 18, 2011, at Tortolita Presbyterian Church, 10710 N. Thornydale Rd., Marana, AZ.
