Nancy Burger Close
79, died February 13, 2016 in peace at home in Tucson, Arizona. Born Nancy Merriam July 16, 1936 to William and Helen Seavey of Berkeley, CA. In 1954, she graduated Berkeley High School. In 1984, she earned a nursing degree from Samuel Merritt College in Oakland, CA. She was a member at St. Mary Magdalen in Berkeley and St. Odilia's, Tucson. A talented athlete, she played in the United States Tennis Association and was a lifelong Cal Bears fan. Nancy enjoyed reading, traveling, and spending time with her friends, family, and cats. She is survived by her husband, Elon Close; her daughters, Alice Murphy Soares, Mary Kozlov, Charlotte Troy, Mariko Baujard and Yvonne Close. Arrangements by ANGEL VALLEY FUNERAL HOME.
