Onofre De La Ossa

70, of Lochiel, AZ passed away of heart complications on Thursday, July 19, 2012 doing what he loved (sorting his cattle) with whom he loved (his wife, Maureen of 49 years) in a location he loved (in a corral at his Aught Two Ranch in Sahuarita, AZ). Preceded in death by his father, Abel De La Ossa and survived by his mother, Armida De La Ossa and all of his siblings, Adelina Beyerle, Arnulfo De La Ossa, Ophelia Spence, Elsa Jurahui, Oscar De La Ossa, Anita Stolz and Martha De La Ossa. He leaves behind his wife, Maureen; sons, Abel De La Ossa (Kathy), Adam De La Ossa (Lisa), Alan De La Ossa (Katy) and daughters, Adele Post (Dan) and Audra Parker (Dennis) and 12 grandchildren. Ono was a cattle rancher of the Southwest known for his production of quality Corriente cattle for more than 40 years. He lived a full life, worked hard every minute and found joy in his successes and accomplishments. Anyone who knew his fun loving personality could also find him enjoying life with a long conversation and a cold drink. Ono took great pride in his family and his influence and strong presence will be greatly missed. His legacy among his family, friends and the cattle industry will certainly be felt for years to come. Services, burial, and farewell party will be held on Saturday, August 4, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. in Lochiel, AZ at the De La Ossa family cemetery.
