Pamela Sue Nelson
passed away April 9, 2014 from complications after a bout of pneumonia. She is survived by long-time partner, Barbara Ericks; brother, Robert Cornell (Deborah) Nelson of Duval, Washington and many friends and associates who also loved her. Pam was born in Omaha, Nebraska. She spent her career working in marketing and merchandising at the headquarters of Sears, Roebuck & Co. and was one of the first women to break the "glass ceiling" into the executive ranks of the company. She is a former President of the Chicago Network and also served on the boards of both the Volunteer Center of Tucson and the Women's Foundation of Southern Arizona. Pam loved reading and writing and was working on completing her first novel. She was a funny, caring and vibrant woman, always willing to listen and offer advice from "Auntie Pam." She will be greatly missed. In lieu of flowers, memorial tributes to Pam may be addressed to the Women's Foundation of Southern Arizona. 2250 E. Broadway Blvd., Tucson, AZ 85719.
