88, was born in Bisbee, Arizona and passed away peacefully at home after a courageous battle with Alzheimer's on July 28, 2017. As a Mother, Nana, Sister and Tia, she was loved by everyone who knew her. She was a member of a couple women's clubs throughout the years; Club Esmeralda and Club Duette. Our mom was the shining light in our lives and will always have a special place in our hearts. She is preceded in death by her husband, Mike L. and son, Michael J. Survived by son, Martin and daughter, Melva (Heberto, Jr.) Burruel; ten grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren; sisters, Dolores (Eddie) Araiza and Arcelia Trujillo and brother, Baldamar (Fabiola) Guerra. A special thank you to Dolores Velazquez who was an exceptional caregiver that always showed love and compassion while caring for our mother. Visitation will be held Monday, August 7, 2017 from 5:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. at CARRILLO'S TUCSON MORTUARY (South Chapel) 240 S. Stone Ave., with a Rosary recited at 7:00 p.m. Mass will be offered Tuesday, August 8, 2017, 10:30 a.m. at St. Augustine's Cathedral, 192 S. Stone Ave. Interment to follow at Holy Hope Cemetery.
