Sonny (Ovis) O. Mead
Born in Blountsville, AL on August 3, 1944 and passed away in Tucson, AZ on September 23, 2015. Sonny is survived by his loving wife, Rosa; mother, Imogene; sister, Judy; his children, Tina (Paul), Carlos (Heather), Ali and Sydney; grandchildren, Shay and Madison; along with many more family, friends and business associates. He is preceded in death by his father, Major and sister, Patricia. Sonny managed a successful construction business "Merit Builders"; he enjoyed sprint car racing, horseracing, music, vacationing and drinking a cold Coors Light. A Mass will be held in Sonny's memory at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, September 29, 2015, at Corpus Christi Catholic Church, 300 N. Tanque Verde Loop Rd., with a reception immediately following.
