Stanislaw Haspod
95, passed peacefully May 4, 2015. Born October 19, 1919 to Jan and Maria Haspod in Poland. At age 20, during WWII, he was sent to a Siberian slave labor camp. Two years later he was freed to join the Free Polish Army, where he served under the Polish, British and Italian Governments. Corporal Haspod was sent to England in 1946 where he met his wife, Genny. With young twins and forty dollars, the family boarded the Queen Mary for New York. There he lived for seven years before moving to Tucson where he started his painting contractor business. Stanley is survived by his wife Genny of 66 years; son, Ziggy Haspod of Santa Barbara, CA; daughter, Barb Pfeffer (Don) of Tucson; granddaughters, Kimberly Guerrero (Sean) of Woodland Hills, CA, and Kristina Pfeffer of Tucson. "May you sing with all the Angels and dance in God's garden." Mass will be held Thursday, May 14, 2015 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Cyril's Church, 4725 E. Pima St. Arrangements by BRING'S BROADWAY CHAPEL.
