Charles "Chuck" Adams
77, died on Saturday October 6, 2012. He is survived by his wife of 31 years, Joan; her daughter, Robyn (Mark) Brands; her son, Rob (Tonya) Galloway and his children, David (Vicki) Adams, Mark (Vicki) Adams and Julie (Mike) Hicks. He also leaves his grandchildren, Colten Tyler, Connor, Ethan and Trevor Hicks, David (Kristin) and Stephanie French and Justin Brands as well as his great-grandson, Ashton French; his brother, Jim (Normalee) Adams and sister, Christine Hill. His parents, Gene and Lorene Adams and grandson, Matthew Hicks, preceded him in death. Chuck was born in Tulsa, Oklahoma but grew up in Tucson. He graduated from Amphitheater High School in 1952, served in the Air Force and graduated from the University of Arizona. He joined the GE Computer Business in Phoenix in 1960 and graduated from its financial management program. He worked in several GE businesses before transferring to the finance operation of the GE Aircraft Engines business in Cincinnati. He retired from GE in 1994. After retirement, he worked as a business consultant for several years and volunteered with the Red Cross, the Jewish Vocational Services, CET and other agencies. He and Joan spent the winters in Tucson and volunteered for the AARP Tax Assistance Program. No Services are planned. Contributions may be made to The Salvation Army.
