GARCIA, Mike S.
69, passed away peacefully on August 22, 2017 surrounded by his wife, Leticia and grandson, Joey. Mike served his country with honor, was a highly decorated hero of the U.S. Army, and received his honorable discharge in 1969. Mike was married to Leticia (Leyva) for 48 years. Upon returning to Tucson, Mike formed his own company MG Tile. Sharing his many skills for more than 48 years. Mike was instrumental in mentoring two sons and several nephews and friends, all of whom became successful in their own businesses, while raising a family. He was a devoted and loving father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He is survived by his three children, Michael Jr. (Pricilla), Cindy and Steven (Erica); seven beautiful grandchildren, and three equally beautiful great-grandchildren; his sister, Carmen Sanchez (Joe); his nieces and nephews, and the rest of his family and friends. Mike is preceded in death by his parents, Ernesto Romo and Socorro Garcia. Visitation will be held Saturday, August 26, 2017 from 9:00 a.m. - 10:30 a.m. at CARRILLO'S TUCSON MORTUARY (South Chapel) 240 S. Stone Ave., with a Rosary recited at 9:30 a.m. Mass will follow 11:00 a.m. at Santa Cruz Church, 1220 S. 6th Ave. Mike, may you rest in peace in the presence of our Lord.
