Interested in learning how to make your own shofar? Temple Emanu-El offers a shofar-making workshop for the whole family from 9 a.m. to noon Sunday. The class instructs how to make and play the instrument. The class also features songs, stories and Rosh Hashana treats. There is a $5 fee per shofar to cover the cost of materials. Congregation Chaverim will hold its annual Rosh Hashana service on Mount Lemmon at the Boy Scout Camp at 10 a.m. Sept. 16, the first full day of Rosh Hashana. For more information, call 320-1015.
