St. Mark's Presbyterian Church, 3809 E. Third St., will host the first Social Justice Through Music Choir Festival Saturday, Feb. 6.
The day begins with 9 a.m. rehearsals, followed by workshops led by religious leaders from noon to 3 p.m. A final rehearsal will take place from 3 to 5 p.m. with the Choir Festival Concert beginning at 7 p.m. Dinner will be served at 5 p.m.
"The desire is to just get a creative space for like-minded individuals that are passionate about social justice," said Mike Scionti, the festival organizer and music director for the church.
The church is requesting a $25 registration fee, but it is not required to participate.
