Kids always talk about wanting to try something new, only to find out they don’t like it after all.
That’s what makes the family fishing clinic hosted by the Arizona Game and Fish Department, such a great idea. It gives families the chance to try their hand at the sport without having to buy fishing rods, bait or a fishing license.
And, Arizona Game and Fish will be there to answer questions and provide instruction as needed.
The next fishing clinic takes place from 8 a.m. to noon Saturday at Silverbell Lake at Christopher Columbus Park, 4600 N. Silverbell Road.
Arizona Game and Fish says to make sure to bring sunscreen and water — and, remember to be patient and quiet while fishing for best results.
