Maribelle Cakery has moved into Plaza Palomino, at East Fort Lowell and North Swan roads. The bakery opened for business Tuesday in the space that formerly housed Culinary Concepts, which closed last year.
The cakery had been in temporary quarters since moving from 3308 E. Grant Road in early 2008, initially going to The Manning House and then to the Temple of Music and Art.
Maribelle is also under new ownership. Longtime cakery employees April Brown and Tiffany Martinez bought the business nearly a year ago.
Maribelle's already had orders for weddings and parties this weekend, and Brown hoped to soon offer pastries and coffee for walk-ins.
The cakery is open 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesdays and Wednesdays and from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Thursdays through Saturdays. Contact them at 322-9294.
