A ranking of 2019's most hated Christmas candies

In a recent survey, CandyStore.com asked more than 11,000 customers for their opinions on what Christmas candy is the worst.

"Something Grinchian takes hold when people speak of their candy dislikes," Ben George with CandyStore.com wrote on the company's blog. "They suddenly summon their innermost darkness and unleash such foulness it rivals Ralphie's father dealing with the furnace."

Here's a look at the top, or rather bottom, 10, as well as some customer comments (edited for language), just for fun:

Customer comments:

• "Ribbon candy. Seriously? Real ribbons look better, last longer and probably taste better too."
• "What part of ribbon candy is edible, please tell me."
• "That ribbony stuff. Just seems like a weird thing to try to eat ."

Customer comments:

• "Candy canes don’t need you to change them. Peppermint only please."
• "Candy canes are gross as it is, and now you wanna make em ugly too?"
• "All those weird flavored candy canes. The colors aren’t even Christmasy."

Customer comments:

• "If you want to eat food from the 1940s, be my guest."
• "That awkward moment when grandma offers you the dusty candy dish and thinks she’s making your day."
• "The flavors are weird and kind taste like fruity rocks."

• "Peppermint bark has the right idea with good flavors but the execution is all wrong."
• "Peppermint bark. Must it be everywhere at Christmas?"
• "It’s melty, sticky and weirdly soft and then crunchy. It’s just weird."

• "Not into this variation. White chocolate is another word for bland white filling I can make taste like something else."
• "Those mms made with peppermint. Where’s the chocolate?"
• "Not feeling the little mint mms in red and white. They trick you because you think there’s gonna be awesome normal mms inside."

• "My grandfather used to always complain about how much packaging everything has these days. How many layers does a kid have to go through to get to a freaking lifesaver?"
• "Those LifeSavers storybooks. They just make me sad."
• "Lifesavers are not for Christmas."

Customer comments:

• "I saw they have Peeps shaped like Christmas trees now. So that’s my vote."
• "Peeps are the worst by far."
• "Don’t forget the Peeps. They are around all year for every little holiday now."

Customer comments:

• "Reindeer corn, seriously? Beyond awful."
• "Christmas themed candy corn is the most disgusting."
• "Those little candy corns that are supposed to be for elves or reindeer. They can have them!"

Customer comments:

• "That poor little cherry has been swimming in whatever that junk is and now we’re supposed to want to eat it."
• "Chocolate cordials. With that clear-ish liquid inside. Horror movie."
• "It’s a precarious thing biting into a cordial, I feel like it's going to burst and stain my clothes. And my tongue."

These were voted the worst candy of 2018 as well, so at least they're consistent.

• "I don't even want to see the little poker chip nougats. Ugly, bad taste weird texture. Go away."
• "Not sure if they are all stale, but they just look stale, don’t they? Not appealing by any measure."
