The Tucson area has one fewer On the Border Mexican Grill & Cantina.
The location at 68 E. River Road, which opened in June 1997, closed on Aug. 25.
The area’s only remaining On the Border restaurant is at 5205 E. Broadway. The national chain has a half-dozen locations in the Phoenix area.
