Tucson-born Obon now open in Scottsdale

Opening Thursday

Obon Sushi Bar Ramen opens Thursday in the former Gio Taco at 350 E. Congress St. The limited ramen menu includes Tonkotsu Ramen.

Tucson-born Obon Sushi + Bar + Ramen is now open in Scottsdale Quarter, 15037 N. Scottsdale Road.

The original Obon celebrates its second anniversary this month at 350 E. Congress St.

Meanwhile, Oregano's Pizza Bistro is coming to Irvington and Interstate 19 as part of the sprawling Fashion Park Shopping Center development set to open in 2019. This will be Oregano's third Tucson location.

Hooters also is expected to come to that area sometime in 2019, owners said earlier this year after closing the Marana Hooters due to restricted access from the nearby Interstate 10/Ina Road construction project.
