After some (ahem!) unexpected time off, Martha Stewart made a small splash last fall with her highly anticipated "Homekeeping Handbook." But for summer, she's making her comeback loud and clear.
One of her new projects is Martha Stewart Crafts, a line of 650-plus pieces with all the essentials for creating scrapbooks to party puppets. The pretty photo albums, papers, ribbons, stickers, markers, pens, scissors and tape (17 choices!) range from $1.99 to $79.99 and are available exclusively at Michaels and www.marthastewartcrafts.com.
And now Lowe's is the exclusive retailer for her new 350-chip paint collection dubbed Martha Stewart Colors. The hues, formulated by Valspar Signature Colors, are inspired, as before, by Stewart's favorite things — her chickens' eggs, Italian stationery, her Maine "cottage" — and start at $25 a gallon.
In mid-July, Stewart also will release a new rug collection at Macy's. In September, she'll debut Martha's Calendar, a monthly newsletter, diary and travelogue. A year's subscription will be $19.95 and available at the new-and-improved www.marthastewart.com.
