From ponies to raccoons, bobcats and lots of cats and dogs, the White House has been home to more than its share of animals. Although the Trumps have said they currently have no plans to bring a pet to the White House, most other first families have. Here's a look back at over 100 years of presidential pets.

The Coolidge family had numerous pets while in the White House. Those include white collies Prudence Prim and Rob Roy, terrier Peter Pan, Airedale terrier Paul Pry, Shetland sheepdog Calamity Jane, chows Tiny Tim and Blackberry, brown collie Ruby Rouch, collie Bessie, bulldog Boston Beans, German shepherd King Kole, bird dog Palo Alto, canaries Nip, Tuck and Snowflake, thrush Old Bill, goose Enoch, cats Tiger and Blacky, raccoons Rebecca and Reuben, donkey Ebenezer, and bobcat Smoky.

1947, Feller
Oblivious to its palatial and imposing surroundings, Feller, a five-weeks-old cocker spaniel gift to President Truman, sits disconsolately outside its shipping case in a large corridor of the White House in Washington on Dec. 22, 1947.
Truman, who wasn't a dog lover, caused quite an uproar when he gave away the unwanted dog.

1963, Clipper, Charlie, Blackie, White Tip, Streaker, Butterfly, Shannon, and Wolf

1963, Pushinka
