Get a closer look at Comet Lulin during a free telescope viewing Friday at Flandrau Science Center.
The comet, discovered in 2007, probably won't be bright enough to be easily seen with the unaided eye in Tucson. Using binoculars, you may see a fuzzy spot above Saturn, by Regulus, around 7:30 p.m. Friday.
But with the observatory's Hyperstar imaging system, you may see the comet's tail and anti-tail.
The viewing will start by looking at Venus in the daytime at 5:30 p.m. and continue until 9 p.m.
The center, at 1601 E. University Blvd., also offers free viewings March 6 and 7, starting at 6 p.m.
